Abstract
This study utilized a documentary analysis research method to examine the influence of an AI-powered writing tool on the writing skills of College of Engineering students at Capiz State University for the school year 2023-2024. The analysis focused on a collection of documents, including essays written by 35 first-year Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering students from the College of Engineering and Architecture Technology. These essays were evaluated using a researcher-made essay rubric, which served as the primary data source for the analysis. The documents were subjected to thorough content analysis, with the essays being assessed based on predefined criteria outlined in the rubric.
