Abstract

The study focuses on the diverse roles of school management and leadership in the Philippine education system. The study’s goal is to identify and assess the many leadership methods used by school leaders and their influence on learners, teachers, and the educational environment. The research technique comprised a thorough search of academic databases, which included 35 peer-reviewed articles published between 2018 and the present. The findings show a variety of leadership approaches, divided into managerial and instructional leadership, with a focus on strategies such as educational, ethical, people, and strategic leadership for the former and clinical supervision, data-informed, equity-oriented, learning-focused, service-driven, and shared-instructional leadership for the latter. The review emphasizes the importance of these measures in improving educational results while also addressing the problems and limitations of their implementation. The study closes by suggesting practical, student-centered leadership approaches to improve the Philippine education system, considering the dynamic and changing demands of the twenty-first-century educational landscape.
