Abstract
This study investigates the teaching competence and instructional strategies of Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE) junior high school teachers in the Division of Roxas City for the school year 2020-2021. Utilizing a descriptive research method, the study examines the respondents’ level of competence in areas such as ICT/Entrepreneurship, Agriculture, Home Economics, and Industrial Arts. The findings reveal that the teachers possess a “Competent” level of teaching competence across these domains, with Home Economics rated the highest. Additionally, the instructional strategies employed by the teachers were found to be “Outstanding,” indicating a strong alignment between competence and effective teaching practices. The study emphasizes the need for continuous professional development to enhance teachers’ skills, particularly in ICT and Agriculture.
