Assessing the effectivity of “PROJECT TAMA” to the academic performance of IP learners

Abstract

Indigenous people are a source of pride for Filipinos, as they strive to preserve and protect nature. Like other Filipinos, they are entitled to equal education to fulfill their aspirations. Due to their unique origins, beliefs, and traditions, it is essential for them to continue their technical studies and find the inspiration to graduate and learn new things. This will enable them to grow not only for their own benefit but also for the betterment of our country. So, this project TAMA (Tabeang yo en Mag-aadel) is made to study not only explores the effectiveness of providing financial assistance to indigenous people, but also aims to enhance their knowledge and skills, thereby extending their educational opportunities. For the researcher to know the answer to her study it uses mixed methods to interview and measure the academic performance of respondents before and after the said project. The results revealed that the respondent’s grades are increased and showed that this project is effective. For that, the researcher recommends continuing encourage all the Indigenous people students to participate in any school activities.
