Abstract

Project LITERIA aims to address literacy challenges among non-readers at Sta. Anastacia San Rafael National High School. Non-readers face significant academic and personal barriers due to limited reading skills, impacting their comprehension, engagement, and future success. This study assesses Project LITERIA’s effectiveness in improving reading abilities, fostering interest, and building literacy confidence. Using a quasi-experimental design, pre- and post-assessment data were gathered through structured surveys, reading comprehension assessments, and Likert-scale feedback from participants. The study also collected qualitative insights from teachers and stakeholders to understand the program’s broader impact. Results indicate marked improvement in comprehension, vocabulary, and reading interest among participants, validating Project LITERIA’s approach as an effective model for literacy intervention in similar settings.
